Smokefree legislation helps Scots give up smoking

The introduction of smokefree legislation in public places has been hailed as a huge success on its first anniversary.
Smokefree legislation came into effect in Scotland on 26 March last year and is due to be introduced in Wales and Northern Ireland in April and England in July.

The most comprehensive study in the world on the impact of smokefree legislation is being carried out north of the border and is due to report later in the year.
