The five-star Marriott West India Quay hotel in Canary Wharf, London has introduced a smokefree policy throughout the building, including the 301 guest rooms and suites and 47 serviced apartments, as well as the public spaces.
From 1st May all guests and staff at the hotel will only be allowed to smoke in dedicated outdoor smoking areas.
"We see this as a huge step forward which will enhance our guests' experiences when visiting the hotel," said the hotel's general manager Paul Downing. "We are committed to providing the highest standards of comfort and luxury to our guests, and also to creating the best possible working environment for our staff."
